I recently got my hands on a set of Booms fishing pliers, and let me tell you, it’s like giving your tackle box a shot of espresso. First impressions: these things look slicker than a well-greased fishing reel. They’re lightweight, which makes me wonder if they’re secretly infused with helium.

Now, let’s dive into the details:

• Grip: The ergonomics on these pliers deserve a standing ovation. Even when my hands were as slippery as a bar of wet soap, the grip held on better than my dog with his favorite toy.
• Durability: I once accidentally dropped them on the rocks, and they survived without a scratch. They’re tougher than a seasoned sailor’s vocabulary on a stormy night.
