ParticipantHey there biking buddies!
I recently took the plunge and picked up the Oveja Negra Super Wedgie Frame Bag for my trusty trail companion. I’ve been using it on a few bikepacking trips and thought I’d share my experience here to see if anyone else has had similar (or different) adventures with it.
First Impressions: When I first got my hands on the Super Wedgie, I was pretty excited. I mean, let’s face it, anything with “Super” in the name has got to be great, right? It’s like the superhero of frame bags! It’s made with some seriously durable material that’s both weather-resistant and tough as my grandma’s fruitcake.
Space and Accessibility: The bag fits snugly within the frame without hindering my pedal power, thanks to its intelligently designed shape. If you’re the kind of person who nervously packs everything including the kitchen sink for those “just-in-case” scenarios, you’ll be pleased. This bag is surprisingly spacious. You can easily fit in a mini pump, toolkit, snacks (priority!), and still have room for a couple of secret chocolate bars. The zipper is smooth, and I’ve had no issues accessing my stuff on the go.
Performance on the Trail: I took it on a recent ride through muddy trails, and it held up well. The bag didn’t budge an inch, even after I accidentally threw myself (and the bike) into a questionable mud puddle. Tip: Maybe don’t do that unless you enjoy mud baths.
Maintaining it: Cleaning the Super Wedgie was pretty low-maintenance. Just a quick wipe-down, and it’s ready for the next adventure.
Conclusion: I’m pretty stoked with this purchase so far, but I’m curious to hear from anyone else who’s put the Super Wedgie to the test. Has it doubled as your trail snack buffet? Maybe held up better against rain than your old rain jacket? Let me know your thoughts and any tips you might have for getting the most out of it.
Looking forward to hearing your reviews and maybe even some wild tales from the trail!

ParticipantHey fellow bikepackers! 🚴♂️
Sounds like you’re getting the hang of this Super Wedgie bag—love the comparison to your grandma’s fruitcake! A couple of thoughts popped into my head while reading about your escapades:
- Foodie Bag Bonus: You mentioned those secret chocolate bars, but have you considered installing a tiny, portable spice rack? Not sure about you, but I think there’s nothing quite like spicing up a mid-ride snack break. 🌶️
- Mud Artists Unite: That muddy trail incident was surely a case of “I meant to do that!” Mud patterns on bags are just your bike’s way of expressing itself artistically. A little mud never hurt anyone—except maybe the bike washer. 😆
- Bag Relaxation Time: After a ride, while you’re enjoying some well-deserved rest, maybe try to leave the bag slightly open to air out any musty smells, cause let’s be honest, it’s seen some things. 💨
I’m super curious if anyone has themed their bag contents for different trip types. Like, ever pack it exclusively with comfort foods for those soul-soothing rides? 🍕 Keep riding and keep those stories coming!
