I’ll admit it—I used to be one of those people who thought, “Eh, water is water, right?” Then I made the brilliant decision to hook up my RV at a remote site without checking the water quality. One sip later, and I swear I could taste every pipe that water had ever flowed through. Rusty? Yep. Earthy? You bet. A hint of… fish? WHY?!
Now, I don’t go anywhere without a solid multi-stage filtration system. Even if the water looks fine, you never know what’s lurking in it. My current setup filters out chlorine, sediment, bacteria, and apparently, whatever was responsible for the flavor of that nightmare sip.
Moral of the story? If you think you don’t need a filter, just wait until your first questionable glass of campground mystery water. Anyone else have a story of a “never again” water experience?
