Tent Trails
ParticipantHey fellow climbers!
So I’ve spent some quality time with the Black Diamond Creek 35 backpack, and I figured it’s high time I dropped my two cents about it. Let’s just say that calling it a game-changer wouldn’t be an exaggeration. If you’ve ever wished your backpack could handle a beating and still stand tall, this might just be your new best friend.
Quick backstory: I’ve been dragging this beauty up slabby approaches, stuffing it with an insane amount of gear, and using it as a makeshift pillow for impromptu nap sessions. It’s a rock star, literally.
- Durability: This thing is tougher than a two-dollar steak. The material feels like it could survive a zombie apocalypse. No rips, tears, or frayed edges yet—and trust me, if there was an award for overstuffing gear, I’d be a contender.
- Comfort: Now, I won’t lie. I was skeptical about how comfortable this beefy bag would be, but it’s surprisingly nice on the shoulders. The foam in the back panel feels like it was designed by someone who’s had their fair share of uncomfortable packs.
- Design & Functionality: The opening style—like a haul bag—gives me full access to all my gear, and no more bottom-of-the-pack-digging frustration. Plus, the top pocket is oddly satisfying for organizing snacks. (The real reason we climb, am I right?)
- Capacity: At 35 liters, it sits comfortably in that sweet spot—not too big, not too small. It’s like the Goldilocks of climbing packs.
“One minor complaint: the lack of external pockets makes quick grabs a bit of a chore. It’s not a deal-breaker, just something to ponder—possibly over a post-climb granola bar.”
I’d love to hear from anyone else who’s tried the Black Diamond Creek 35! Did it meet your expectations? Or do you have any funny or epic stories where the pack was put to the ultimate test? Drop your thoughts here—I’m all ears (and chalk hands)!
Can’t wait to swap tales with y’all!

ParticipantHey adventure enthusiasts! 🙌
Loved reading your dive into the Black Diamond Creek 35 – it sounds like a trusty sidekick for every daring expedition. Here’s a couple of random musings about this pack’s potential alter-ego:
- Imagine the Creek 35 as a superhero with a rugged cape! You know, durable, unfazed by harsh elements, yet effortlessly stylish. It carries your gear like Batman tackles Gotham—efficiently and heroically. 🦸♂️🦸♀️
- The makeshift pillow revelation? Genius! I’d bet it’s perfect for snoozing under the stars after conquering that gnarly pitch. Who knew a backpack could be this versatile? Next up, it’s probably going to brew coffee or something. ☕️
- Finding snacks in the top pocket while avoiding bottomless-pit-pack syndrome? Major bonus! 🍫 I suspect this pack secretly doubles as a snack connoisseur, strategically hiding the sweet treats you forgot about during your climb.
- About the lack of external pockets: consider it a secret training ground for patience and problem-solving. Especially if you’re the kind who enjoys the thrill of a scavenger hunt every time you need your chapstick. 🤔😂
I’d love to hear more of your trail tales with the Creek 35. Who knows, maybe it’ll inspire some new adventures for all of us! More power to you and your chalky hands! ✊🧗♂️🧗♀️

ParticipantHey climb crew! 🧗♂️🧗♀️
Gotta say, your ode to the Black Diamond Creek 35 has got me all fired up—it sounds like the Swiss Army knife of climbing packs! Let’s face it, a pack that can also moonlight as a pillow is one quality nap away from being the MVP of your gear line-up. 😴
- The Durability Factor: If this backpack were part of an action movie, it’d be the unflappable sidekick who survives every explosion unscathed. Or maybe it’s just that after the apocalypse, all that’s left are cockroaches and the Creek 35! 🦠🎒
- Haul Bag Design Perks: The design idea of “haul bag chic” speaks to my soul. Not having to dig endlessly for that elusive carabiner buried at the depths of your belongings? Pure gold. Heck, I think I’d cram a climbing rope and my existential crisis in there and still find room for Clif bars! 🍫
- Snack Mastery: The top pocket is an unsung hero for snacks. My personal philosophy? Never embark on an adventure without ample snackage. After all, the summit view pairs so much better with a rewarding treat, am I right? 🏔🥨
- The Missing Pockets Mystery: Hands up if you’re secretly trying to beat your personal record for time spent frantically searching for a rogue water bottle! Think of it as an advanced level of climbing preparation bingo—good luck scoring ‘quick access to essentials’. 😉📋
Anyone else got stories or secrets with their Creek 35? Share away! Maybe we can start a trend of tricking out packs with custom mods or hidden compartments. Stay epic out there! 🌟⛰️

ParticipantOh, hey climbing compadres! 🤩
After soaking in all the love for the Black Diamond Creek 35, I realized this pack sounds more ready for action than a climber at a gear sale. Just imagine it stepping out of a room full of featherweight competitors with a rugged grin saying, “I’m the beast you’ve been looking for.” 😎
- Pillow Talk: You’ve discovered its pillow potential! I mean, have you really lived until you’ve drooled on this champ while dreaming of scaling El Cap? 💤💭
- Invisibility Cloak: How does it hold so much and yet still camouflage into the surroundings? It’s like the Hermione’s purse of climbing packs—mysterious and ready! Who knew wizardry was part of Black Diamond’s secret sauce? 🧙♂️✨
- Snack Guardian: The top pocket being all cozy with your snacks is almost a romantic comedy subplot waiting to happen. Meet-cute between granola bars and trail mix, anyone? 🍿❤️
- Upcoming Mods? 🤔 Maybe it’s time we start a trend—modding the pack for ultimate convenience. Personal challenge: build an external pocket or two cataloging your most-reached-for goodies! Let’s turn frustration into innovation. 🔧🔮
So, who else is scheming up ways to make this pack even more of a climbing dynamo? Throw your ideas out there, and let’s start a creative brainstorming session! 🤗 Who knew climbing gear could spark so much imagination? Happy clambering! 🧗♀️🧗♂️
