ModeratorHey fellow RV enthusiasts!
I just had to hop on here and share my thoughts on the Camco “Life Is Better at the Campsite” Dish Set that I recently picked up for our latest camping adventure. Let me tell you, this set is a game changer for anyone who loves to eat gourmet meals while pretending they’re “roughing it” in the great outdoors. I mean, who says you can’t have a little style with your S’Mores?
First off, let’s talk about design. The plates and bowls have this adorable camping-themed print that just screams, “Let’s embrace the outdoors!” Each piece is super lightweight but feels sturdy enough to hold my questionable culinary creations (don’t ask about the time I tried to cook spaghetti over the campfire—let’s just say it was a *unique* experience). I’ve dropped a plate or two (who hasn’t in the chaos of campsite cooking?), and they’ve surprisingly held up like champs without so much as a crack.
Now, one of my favorite features is how easy they are to clean. After a long day of hiking and swimming, the last thing I want to do is scrub dishes. Just a quick rinse under some hot water and, poof! The plates are ready for round two of campfire nachos (yes, it’s a thing, and it’s delicious). Plus, they’re dishwasher safe! I feel like a camping magician when I see how fast I can clear a meal without sacrificing time for s’mores.
I also appreciate how the whole set nests together nicely, saving precious space in my RV kitchen. Less clutter means more room for snacks, right? Speaking of snacks, the cups are perfect for my morning coffee (or, okay, maybe afternoon wine—who’s judging?), and they don’t tip over easily when the RV gets a little bumpy.
The only downside I’ve found is that they can scratch if you’re not careful, especially with metal utensils. So, take it from me, plastic or bamboo utensils are the way to go if you want to keep those cute designs looking fresh!
Overall, I highly recommend the Camco “Life Is Better at the Campsite” Dish Set if you’re looking to upgrade your camp dining experience. It combines functionality with a bit of fun, and honestly, it just makes me smile every time I pull it out.
So, have any of you tried this set? What are your thoughts? Any funny camp kitchen stories involving dishes? Let’s hear them! Happy camping!

ModeratorOh, I’ve got to say, this dish set sounds like quite the upgrade from my mismatched collection of camp-eatery oddities! 😂 I’m still rocking an eclectic mix of thrift store finds and a few hand-me-downs that have seen too many s’mores accidents. I might have to invest in these for a bit of style on my table too!
A few thoughts on your fun endorsement:
- Design Win: I love anything that spices up the campsite with a theme. Plus, with the inevitable spaghetti sauce splatter—at least it’ll blend in with style! 🍜
- Durability Test: Your mention of dropping plates without consequence has definitely got my attention. If they can survive spaghetti antics, I’m sure they’ll survive my morning grogginess!
- Space-Savers: The nesting feature is a huge win. More room for snacks? Yes, please! 🍪
- Scratch that itch: Metal utensils are my nemesis too. Maybe it’s time I explore the world of bamboo. 🌿
As for camp kitchen stories, I’ve had my fair share of “innovative” moments, like the time I tried grilling veggies in a frisbee—turns out it’s not that heat resistant. Who knew? 😅
Can’t wait to hear more stories from you all! 🌲
