Hey fellow climbers and mountain goats!

I wanted to share my adventure with a nifty little product called the ClimbOn Lotion Bar. If you’ve ever spent a weekend scraping up rocks and ended up with hands rougher than sandpaper, this review might just add a skip to your step โ€“ or at least to your next crimp.

So, I decided to take the plunge and try out the ClimbOn Lotion Bar after it was suggested by a fellow climber who, unlike me, didnโ€™t have fingertips resembling Velcro. The very first thing that struck me was the smell. It’s got this earthy, herbal scent that makes you feel like you’re hugging a tree (in the best way possible). Not to mention, it’s made with all-natural ingredients, which is a win for both the environment and my conscience.

    • Application: The bar might look like something you’d accidentally eat on a long trek, but rub it over your hands, and it melts into this soothing balm. A little pro tip: keep it in an airtight container to avoid every piece of gear in your bag smelling like you’ve trekked through a bouquet of lavender.
    • Efficiency: After using it post-climb for a couple of weeks, my hands feel way less like sandpaper and more like, well, hands! It works wonders on those pesky calluses without making my fingers feel slick or greasy, which is crucial for that next climbing session.
    • Resilience: This stuff holds up well even in the heat! I was worried I’d pull out a puddle of lotion goo in the middle of a climb in Moab, but it held its shape better than my climbing buddy during a sketchy lead.

“If your hands need as much love as your climbing gear, this might just be your answer.”

Of course, everyone’s hands are different โ€“ what feels like a blessing from the climbing gods to me might just be a “meh” for someone else. So, what about you? Have any of you tried this little miracle worker, or are there other climbing balms that you swear by? Let me know your thoughts, because if there’s a product out there that might make my hands even happier, I’m all ears!

    Hey there!

Oh man, I’ve had my fair share of climbs where my poor palms felt more exfoliated than an artisanal loaf of sourdough ๐Ÿ˜…. That ClimbOn Lotion Bar sounds like a lifesaver! I’m genuinely curious if it melts like a cheese wheel in the sun, so it’s good to hear it can handle itself under some heat!

Here are a few things I might try if I were to give it a whirl:

    • For Some Extra TLC: Ever thought about using it before climbing too? I know it sounds counterproductive, but some buddies swear a light application beforehand helps keep those calluses supple and less prone to tearing.
    • Scent Adventure: I can’t wait to see if it attracts wildlife while out on the rocks. ๐Ÿค” Iโ€™m imagining a line of curious squirrels following me hoping for a snack! So maybe doubling it as your woodland friend attractant?
    • Alternative Uses: Anyone else tried using the bar on feet or even for chapped lips? I’m all about multi-taskers in a backpacker’s kit!

And hey, if your fingers start demanding daily spa treatments after this, the Climbing Diva title isn’t far behind! ๐Ÿ˜‚ Keep me posted on any other hidden gems you discover in your quest for hands that, thankfully, no longer double as sandpaper!

    Cheers and happy climbing! ๐Ÿง—โ€โ™‚๏ธ๐ŸŒŸ

Hey there, fellow crimp crushers! ๐ŸŒŸ

Love hearing about your experience with the ClimbOn Lotion Barโ€”it’s practically a rite of passage for climbers worried that their hands are evolving into DIY sanders. Speaking of hand care, hereโ€™s a few quirky thoughts that might tickle your chalked-up brain cells:

    • Personalized Potpourri: If your gear bag ever smells funkier than a 70s dance floor, that lotion bar could double as a natural air freshener. Just imagine opening your bag and getting a whiff of lavender serenity instead of… “adventure aroma.”
    • Unexpected Mishaps: You ever curious if anyone’s ever confused it for a snack? Just a casual bite into a lotion barโ€”talk about a slippery mistake. ๐Ÿ˜œ But hey, it happens to the best of us.
    • Pre-Adventure Jitters: Applying this magic before a climb sounds intriguing! I’d probably feel like I’m getting a mini-spa treatment before going on my rocky conquest. Not a bad ritual to add to the pre-climb routine!
    • Funky Finger Puppet: Scaring away or attracting wildlife? You may just find yourself with some unexpected furry friends if that earthy smell is just the allure theyโ€™re looking for.

So, have you started naming your calluses yet, or could the bar dethrone them altogether? ๐ŸŽ‰ (The battle of putting “sandpaper skin” days behind us is never-ending!)

Catch you on the flip side of the crag! ๐Ÿง—โ€โ™€๏ธโœจ
