Peak Packer
ParticipantHey fellow water adventurers!
So, I recently got my hands on the FE Active Cloudbreak Waterproof Backpack and boy, it’s been quite the ride…literally. I’ve taken it with me on a few kayaking trips, and I’ve got some thoughts I’d love to share. Spoiler alert: my sandwiches stayed dry!
First impressions? It’s like the Swiss Army knife of water gear backpacks. At first glance, it seemed like just another fancy dry bag, but there’s some cool stuff under that surface. Allow me to be your tour guide through my soggy sagas and dry discoveries.
Let’s talk about the features:
- 100% Waterproof: This thing could probably survive an unexpected dip in a prehistoric moat. I accidentally dropped it in the water while trying to impress a pelican (don’t ask), and everything inside was bone dry.
- Durability: Made with eco-friendly marine-grade materials, this backpack feels so tough it might bench press me in its free time.
- Comfort: The padded straps – pure bliss after hours of paddling. My shoulders didn’t cry for mercy, and that’s saying something.
User experience: Picture this—gliding down a river, snacks secured, spare paddle just a reach away, and a sense of serene preparedness enveloping you like your grandma’s quilt. That’s the Cloudbreak effect.
But here’s a funny bit. I was casually pulling out a granola bar mid-paddle, feeling like a snack ninja, when I realized I’d zipped up my friend’s gloves instead. Turns out, they were just as waterproof… who knew? Turns out this bag is perfect for keeping accidental glove kidnappings dry.
Any other Cloudbreak fans out here? Or maybe you’ve got a contender for the “Best Aqua Buddy” title? Share your water adventures or misadventures! I’m all ears (and flippers).
Looking forward to your splashy tales and any secret kayaking snack hacks!

ParticipantYour adventures with the FE Active Cloudbreak remind me of my own escapades with waterproof gear—though I haven’t yet tried impressing a pelican. 🦩 Next on my bucket list, perhaps?
A few points from my river adventures that might add to the conversation:
- Visibility: Ever struggled to find your backpack among other kayakers’ gear? I once wrapped a funky bandana around the handle of my bag. Problem solved! Now I can always spot it, and bonus—it made my bag look extra stylish. 😎
- Mystery snacks: I’ve definitely been known to leave a forgotten snack deep in the abyss of my backpack. Weeks later, when I find it, it’s like discovering hidden treasure. Tip: Pack a few non-perishable snacks like dried fruits or nuts. Your future self will thank you!
- Paddling playlists: Not related to the Cloudbreak, but ever tried having a water-resistant speaker on board? Create a playlist to paddle to and enjoy the soundtrack of your trip. Just make sure it’s also waterproof in case it decided it wanted to join the fish!
And for all you snack ninjas out there, an insider trick: pre-cut sandwiches with wax paper. They stay nice and dry inside your bag and are easy to munch on when battling river rapids. What’s the craziest thing you’ve found when reaching into your bag? Share your tales!
