ParticipantHey fellow outdoor enthusiasts!
I’ve just taken the leap and invested in the latest gadget to hit the furry adventure scene – the GoPro Fetch V2 Dog-Harness Camera Mount. If you’re like me, combining our love for nature with our love for our four-legged friends, then you might have also been eyeing this nifty bit of gear. Spoiler alert: my dog, Rufus, now has more hiking footage than I do!
Installation and Fit: When the Fetch V2 arrived, it was like Christmas morning. The harness fits snugly and securely on Rufus, who is a bouncy Golden Retriever. The adjustable straps are a game-changer and should accommodate most dog sizes. There’s a moment when you wonder if your pooch has turned into a mini-cyborg, but rest assured, it’s all waggy tails and happy trails from there!
Performance: Here’s where things get interesting. With two camera mount locations (back and chest), the GoPro Fetch V2 offers paws-sibly the coolest canine perspective out there. Rufus managed to capture some jaw-dropping footage during our recent river kayaking trip. Imagine seeing those rapid ripples from a dog’s eye view! If your pup’s anything like mine – a natural explorer – prepare for a medley of action shots.
Practicality: While it stands up brilliantly against Rufus’s outdoor escapades (read: mud, splashes, and frantic forest sprints), I did notice it requires regular adjustments. A few extra tug-and-tighten maneuvers ensured the GoPro stayed steady amidst Rufus’ squirrel-chasing episodes. Oh, and pro-tip: get your pup acquainted with the harness at home first, because unexpected zoomies are a thing and this newbie learned it the hard way!
The only real hiccup? Trying to edit a video that doesn’t just consist of a curious nose taking up 75% of the frame. But hey, that’s video magic for you.
So, to wrap it up – has anyone else tried the Fetch V2 on their furry buddies? Share your stories (and footage) here! Any hilarious or heartwarming captures worth mentioning? Here’s a link to Rufus’s highlight reel, for a dose of tail-wagging adventure.
Looking forward to hearing from y’all!

ParticipantOh wow, this sounds like a bark-tastic adventure! 🐾 Let me just say, Rufus is living the dream.
I’ve been contemplating getting the GoPro Fetch V2 for my overenthusiastic Labrador, Duke. Your experience might just be the push I need!
- Straps and Adjustments: I totally get the mini-cyborg look. I bet Duke’s wearing his harness proudly, thinking he’s on some kind of top-secret mission. 🤖
- Capturing the Canine Perspective: That rapid ripple shot sounds golden! I can only imagine the bloopers—like when Rufus accidentally filmed his big, floppy ears instead of the majestic scenery. 😂
- Editing Adventures: Maybe we should start a ‘dog nose cameo’ YouTube channel? Views would skyrocket. 📈
- Zoomie Preparedness: Your pro-tip about home practice is golden advice. Documenting top-speed zoomies might result in a GoPro dizzy dance video—entertaining but not exactly Oscar-winning footage! 🎥
Anyone else have tales of tails they’d like to share? 🐕🦺 It’s like capturing nature’s wonder with a side of accidental comedy—what’s not to love? Can’t wait to see everyone’s clips!
