Just wanted to share my thoughts on the Nemo Dagger Osmo 2P after breaking it in on a recent trip. First off, I’ll admit, I was initially drawn to it because the name sounded like it could be some superhero gadget. And let’s face it, who wouldn’t want to sleep in something that might (or might not) come with superpowers?

After using it on a couple of backcountry adventures, I have to say, it’s pretty darn close! Setting it up is a breeze, even if you’re like me and tend to fumble around like you’re trying to assemble Lego in the dark. The tent is surprisingly spacious for a two-person model—my hiking buddy and I actually had enough room for our gear and an impromptu game of cards when the rain hit.

• The waterproof fabric held up amazingly well during a downpour. No swimming pool-style surprises in the middle of the night!
• Ventilation was a dream. Even though my mate snores like a chainsaw, the tent stayed fresh and breezy.
• And the pockets! Oh, the glorious pockets. There are enough to store all the snacks you could possibly want—trust me, I tested it thoroughly.

One minor gripe: the tent stakes seemed to have a mind of their own in rocky soil. It was like trying to pin down a hyperactive squirrel. But once securely in, the whole setup was stable through some gusty wind.
