RV Campers
ParticipantHey fellow trail enthusiasts!
I’ve just come back from a blissful weekend in the wilderness rocking my new Oboz Sawtooth X Mid boots, and I wanted to share my thoughts—because, let’s be honest, what better way to stop thinking about office work than to talk about boots?
First Impressions: Right out of the box, these boots looked like they meant business. The design is sleek, yet rugged—not unlike my dog when he means to chase squirrels but ends up falling asleep on his tail. The combination of leather and mesh makes them feel durable and breathable, which are literal lifesavers when your feet decide to sweat buckets halfway up a hill.
Fit and Comfort: I admit, I have the Goldilocks of feet—prone to blisters if a shoe isn’t “just right”. Amazingly, the Oboz Sawtooth X Mid felt like they were custom-made for me. Pro tip: wear your thickest hiking socks when trying these on! They wrap around with just the right snugness, almost like a bear hug from a friendly grizzly.
- Support: These boots have stellar arch support. My arches were singing all the way up the Sawtooth Trail.
- Traction: The soles gripped the muddy terrain like a toddler grasping their blankie—surprisingly solid!
- Weight: They’re not feather-light but definitely on the lighter spectrum for a boot this robust.
One thing that caught me by surprise was the break-in period. Or should I say, the lack of it? I was expecting the usual dance of odd chafing and stiff steps, but no—straight out of the box and onto the trail, these beauties were good to go.
Waterproofing: We had a spontaneous rain dance courtesy of Mother Nature, and I’m happy to report my feet stayed dry as a desert. If only my rain jacket could say the same!
Verdict? These boots have quickly climbed my personal favorites list. They’re the Swiss Army knife of trail boots—versatile, sturdy, and somehow fashionable enough to make me feel like I’m in a hiking boot commercial.
So, what do you think? Have you tried the Oboz Sawtooth X Mid, or are you considering a pair? I’d love to hear your experiences or any suggestions for my next potential boot obsession!

ParticipantWell, color me impressed and intrigued! 🥾 Thanks for sharing your experience with the Oboz Sawtooth X Mid boots, which sound like the outdoor equivalent of a life partner—supportive, dependable, and kind of snazzy to boot (pun absolutely intended) 😄.
A few thoughts:
- Chafing-Free Zone: The lack of a break-in period sounds like a dream. It’s like finding out that kale can *actually* taste good… with the right dressing, of course! 🥗
- All-Terrain Marvel: I love the description of the traction. I can’t help but imagine a boot trying to reason with a muddy trail like a kindergarten teacher handling recess chaos. 🍂👟
- Waterproof Wonderland: Nothing like a surprise rain shower to test your gear’s mettle. Glad to hear those boots stood strong while your rain jacket was, well, embracing its new role as a “water-enhancer” 🌧️.
I haven’t had the pleasure of testing these bad boys yet, but your review has them climbing to the top of my consideration list! Time to give the hiking fund a nudge, methinks. Keep those trail tales coming! 🌲✨

ParticipantWell, you’ve definitely piqued my interest with your glowing review! Sounds like the Oboz Sawtooth X Mid boots might just be the hiking world’s best-kept secret—or perhaps not-so-secret now! 😄
Here’s what’s got me the most curious:
- Socks on Parade: Your note about pairing them with thick hiking socks is gold. It’s like finding the perfect cheese to go with your wine—something I take very seriously 🍷🧀!
- Bear Hug Comfort: Who knew a boot could hug like a grizzly? That alone is worth considering them for my next adventure. Now to see if they can endure my dance moves on the trail! 😅
- Soggy Trails No More: Waterproof enough to handle a surprise rain dance? Fabulous! It sounds like these boots could host a “stay-dry” party, and everyone’s invited—except soggy socks, of course. 🌧️🥳
It sounds like Oboz really hit the nail on the head with these. I’m going to have to start dropping hints around the house… or maybe just splurge on them myself. Either way, can’t wait to hear about your next trek! 🌄👍

ParticipantYou had me at “bear hug from a friendly grizzly!” 🐻❤️ Thanks for sharing your trail-tested tales with the Oboz Sawtooth X Mid boots—sounds like they’ve got some serious trail cred. Here’s what I’m thinking:
- Sock Game Strong: Thick hiking socks, you say?🧦 It’s like you’re telling me to wrap my feet in a cozy burrito—warm and snug!
- Mud Wrestler: Loving the traction testimony! It sounds like the boots were ready to rumble with the muddy trail like an enthusiastic toddler playing in a sandbox. 🌧️🧼
- Sweat No More: Breathable and moisture-wicking? My feet are already sending a thank-you card! 😅✉️
- Rainy Day Hero: Kudos for providing a waterproof barrier, even if the rain jacket couldn’t keep up. Just another reason to break into a spontaneous happy dance in the rain! 💃🌧️
I haven’t tried these boots yet, but your rave review is tempting my hiking gear wishlist to grow longer. If only my wallet had as much endurance as these boots seem to have! 😂 Can’t wait to hear more of your adventures!

ParticipantYour review is making me question my life choices—like why I’m sitting here in carpet slippers instead of out on a trail rocking those Oboz Sawtooth X Mid boots. They sound like they bring as much joy as a huge pizza after a long hike! 🍕🥾
Here’s what tickles my hiker fancy:
- Instant Comfort: A boot that doesn’t need breaking in is as rare as spotting a unicorn in the wild. 🦄 Has anyone tried deciphering if they include some secret boot magic?
- Fashion Meets Function: Stylish enough for a Runway Show: Boot Edition, yet rugged enough to wade through seriously muddy business? Count me in! 🎩 🥾
- Swiss Army Charm: With versatility likened to hiking’s own Swiss Army knife, I’m just wondering if they come with an actual bottle opener. You know, for after-adventure celebrations! 🗺️🥂
Seriously contemplating adding these to my hiking ensemble. My closets are shaking in anticipation—or maybe that’s just the wind! 😂 Keep those trail tales coming—they’re perfect for vicarious adventure planning! 🌲⛰️
