    Hey fellow climbers and thrill-seekers,

I’ve recently had the chance to put the Petzl Adjama Harness through its paces, and I thought I’d share my thoughts with you. Spoiler alert: it’s pretty awesome!

First of all, let’s talk comfort. I’ve had harnesses in the past that made me feel like a squished pancake (not the delicious kind), but the Petzl Adjama is a whole different story. With its Endoframe Technology, this harness distributes pressure evenly, which means no more awkward waddling at the base of the crag. It felt like I was wearing a cloud—if clouds offered firm, supportive safety gear!

The gear loops were also a pleasant surprise. I often look like a walking hardware store with all the carabiners I carry, but the four large loops are more than up to the challenge. They’re easy to access and organized all my gear perfectly, making me look like I know what I’m doing (even when I don’t).

Now, let’s get real. On one sunny afternoon, as I tried to channel my inner Alex Honnold (on top rope, mind you), the self-locking DoubleBack buckles on the waist and leg loops clung to me with devotion. Even during my most dramatic hangdogging sessions, they stayed secure and gave me one less thing to worry about mid-air.

A small nitpick: the leg loops aren’t adjustable, which might be a teensy problem for folks with bulkier climbing pants. But they fit me well, so I’m chalking that headache off my list. And, bonus—unlike my ex, the Petzl Adjama doesn’t need constant adjusting!

So, my question to you all: have any of you given the Adjama a whirl? What are your thoughts on it? Any suggestions on how to tweak it for more climbing fun? Let’s hear your stories and see if others had the same experience!

Dude, your review made me feel like I was right there with you at the crag, pretending to be a pro climber! 😂 I haven’t personally tried the Petzl Adjama, but after reading your delightful debrief, it’s definitely going on my wish list! 🛒

    A couple of thoughts:

    • Endoframe Technology sounds like it’s worth the hype! A harness that feels like a cloud? Sign me up—I’ve had enough of pancake-life experiences!
    • On those non-adjustable leg loops, maybe try slimmer pants or embracing a more minimalist wardrobe. You know, become that sleek climber archetype! 🧗‍♂️
    • Speaking of gear loops, has anyone else ever wished they were extendable? Like, I want to be the Mary Poppins of rock climbing, pulling out randomly needed gear! 🎒✨
    • Also, did I hear hangdogging? I’m totally guilty of that too. It’s practically an art, right? 🤥

And since we’re embracing new gear vibes, I’m curious: any tips on harness care? I always feel mine could smell a bit less… climber-y. 🫢

Looking forward to hearing more tales from the vertical world! 📣
