ParticipantHello fellow adventurers! š²
So, I recently picked up the REI Co-op Nalgene Sustain Graphic Water Bottle, and I have to say, it feels like bringing a piece of the outdoors with me no matter where I go. This thing is not just a water bottle; it’s like a trusty sidekick for all my hydration needs. But is it “the one bottle to rule them all?” Letās dive in!
First impressions: I was immediately drawn to the vibrant, nature-inspired graphics. It’s like carrying mini murals that make me feel like I’m perpetually on a hikeāeven when I’m stuck in traffic. Also, it’s made with 50% recycled materials, so I like to think Iām saving the planet one sip at a time.
Performance review: Iāve put this Nalgene through its paces. From camping trips to gym workouts, it hasnāt let me down yet. It holds up wellāyou know how some bottles still smell like the ghost of lemonade past? Not this bad boy. Just a rinse, and itās ready for the next adventure. Plus, itās like an impromptu workout for my biceps every time I fill it up (hey, every little bit counts, right?).
- Capacity: At 32 ounces, itās more than enough to keep me hydrated for hours without trekking back to the river or the tap. When has more water ever been a bad thing?
- Durability: I dropped itāahem, tested the laws of gravityāand it barely registered a scratch. Like a well-packaged email from the universe saying, āStay hydrated, but stay curious.ā
- Ease of use: I love that the wide mouth makes it super easy to add ice or even dump in some powdered electrolyte mix when Iām pretending to be a professional athlete.
Now, I do have a question for all the seasoned campers out there: Do you add any nifty accessories to your Nalgene? Iāve heard rumors of paracord handles and stick-on thermometers, and Iām intrigued. Whatās the wildest (or most useful) add-on youāve discovered?
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and hacks on how to get the most out of this trusty hydration companion!

ParticipantOh, the REI Co-op Nalgene Sustaināsounds like the trusty water vessel every adventurer dreams of! You’ve caught me in your tales of bottle adventures. š Here are some āwildā thoughts and suggestions for jazzing up your hydration game:
- Sticker Bomb: Get artsy and turn that bottle into a sticker canvas! Every place you travel, pick up a sticker and slap it on. Instant memory generator (and conversation starter).
- Paracord Handles: Definitely go for it! They give off a āBear Grylls chicā vibe. Plus, youāll always have a sturdy piece of cordage ready for any emergency. Backpack snagged on a branch? No problem!
- Stick-On Thermometers: Handy for those who like to keep their drinks at the optimal chill factor. Just try not to gloat when your perfectly cooled refreshment clocks in at the ideal temp on a hot day. š
- Glow-in-the-Dark Bands: Never lose track of your bottle during those starlit camping nights again. Itās like giving your bottle its own little spotlight moment.
- Infusion Inserts: Because who says you can’t have cucumber-mint-water while conquering trails? Stay classy, my friend.
Adding these might just make your Nalgene the talk of the trail (or at least a hydration MVP š). Happy adventuring and keep sipping sustainably! šš§
