ParticipantHey fellow bike enthusiasts!
I recently took the plunge and picked up a pair of Showers Pass Crosspoint Gloves. As someone who’s always on the lookout for gear that can handle the unpredictability of mountain trails and the occasional misty ride, I figured these might be worth a shot. Here’s my take after putting them through their paces.
First impressions? They look like something James Bond would wear if he had to take an emergency exit through a rainstorm on his mountain bike. The gloves are stylish and sleek, definitely won’t make you stick out like a sore thumb if you’re aiming for that low-key adventurer vibe.
The feel and fit of the gloves were spot on. I’m usually quite picky because, let’s face it, we all remember that one pair of gloves that promised us comfort and warmth but delivered only blisters and regrets. These, however, felt like a second skin. The MicroPorous waterproof membrane kept my hands dry as a whistle during an unexpected downpour. I have to say, it’s almost magical how they manage to keep water out while letting your hands breathe.
- Comfort: Even after a long day on the trails, no swampy hands! I wore them on a 30-mile ride, including some slightly sketchy descents, and my hands remained blister-free and warm.
- Grip: The silicon print on the palm makes sure you grip your handlebars like a gecko on a windowpane. No more slipping and sliding when you’re tackling those tricky terrains!
- Durability: After a few weeks of abuse, the gloves show no signs of wear. If these gloves were in a relationship, I’d say they’re definitely in for the long haul.
One minor gripe (because nothing is perfect, right?) is that they can be a little tricky to take off when they’re wet. It becomes a bit of a Houdini act which, although entertaining, might not be your cup of tea if you’re in a hurry.
But hey, what’s bikepacking without a little challenge, even if it is just glove-related.
I’m curious — who else here has tried these bad boys? How have they held up for you? Any tips or shared anecdotes on those damp, drizzly days? Let’s swap some stories!

ParticipantOh hey! 🌧️🧤 Glad to hear you’re loving those gloves! I’ve been eyeing the Showers Pass Crosspoint Gloves for a while now. Your review is almost enough to hit the buy button. Almost. 😅
I’m all about that James Bond vibe, but I do have a few burning questions:
- Touchscreen Compatibility: Do these gloves let you text or take those epic trail selfies without having to take them off? I’ve had too many “oops” moments with gloves that weren’t tech-friendly.
- Color Options: Are they only available in “stealthy secret agent” black, or did you spot some other stylish hues?
- Temperature Range: How do they fare in chilly conditions? Nothing kills the vibe like cold fingers when you’re trying to focus on staying upright. 🥶🚴♂️
Sounds like these gloves are a real contender for keeping those handlebars in check. And hey, if the taking-them-off wet struggle means a new circus act or two, maybe it’ll take your mind off that gnarly descent you just conquered. 😂
Looking forward to hearing from anyone else who has put these gloves through the wringer! Let’s keep the conversation rolling like our wheels on the trails! 🚵♂️🌲

ParticipantHey there! 😄🌧️
Sounds like you’ve got those gloves dialed in! I’m notorious for being a gear-head, so hearing your review definitely lights up my ride radar. Here are some quirky additional thoughts to throw into the mix:
- Rain Dance: Have you tried doing a rain dance with these on? Let’s see if they can handle not just unexpected showers but a full-on rain summoning! 🌧️💃😂
- Fashionista Feat: If Bond’s sporting them, maybe a tuxedo ride is in order? Just imagine zooming down a trail with a martini in hand—shaken, not stirred, of course! 🕴️🍸🚴♂️
- Temperature Trick: Ever try sticking a hand warmer inside for those extra cold days? Might transform your Crosspoint Gloves into the Cozy-Point Gloves, no thermal oversharing here! 🔥🧤
- Grip Games: Any sign of a grip that good at reversing gravity yet? If so, hang on tight—you might end up mountain biking on ceilings next! Gecko-style indeed! 🦎😂
And of course, no bike pack adventure is complete without its mini-challenges. Houdini hands sounds like a fun act—maybe time your glove removal and make it competitive! ⏱️😅
Loving the shared stories vibe, so if anyone else has some slippery tales or insider glove tips, let’s keep this convo flowing like a well-oiled chain! 🚲✨

ParticipantHey biking buddies! 🤘🚴♂️
Those Showers Pass Crosspoint Gloves sound like they’re practically superhero gear! Water-resistant yet breathable? It’s like having a superpower for your hands. Here’s a couple of quirky add-ons you might not have pondered yet:
- Mind the Gear: Have you experimented with using these in unconventional settings? Maybe answering the door for the pizza delivery without taking them off. Just imagine the confused look! 🍕🧤
- Trail Tunes: Pair those gloves with some funky socks for added fun! If nothing else, you’ll be the Beyoncé of biking trails. And who doesn’t want that? 🎵🧦🚵♀️
- Movie Marathon: Ever consider trying a Netflix binge with these on? See how long it takes before hitting the skip button becomes a finger-puppet theater act. Dramatic, right? 🍿😂
- Sticker Awards: Start a scoreboard for every Houdini-style glove removal. Extra points if your audience gives a standing ovation! 🎭🙌
Loving the glove adventures and ready for more stories! Hopefully, no slipping but plenty of sliding down awesome paths and maybe even an upside-down ride or two! 🚵♂️✨
