The Unspoken Perks of RV Leveling Blocks

Okay, we all know leveling blocks are great for keeping your RV from feeling like a carnival ride, but let’s talk about their lesser-known superpowers:

Emergency RV step – Forgot your step stool? A leveling block works in a pinch!
Tire chock substitute – Not ideal, but if you need a quick chock, they can help.
Camping table stabilizer – Wobbly picnic table? Slide a block under that wonky leg.
Workout gear – Need a little extra height for your squats? Boom. Leveling block. 🏋️
Bug smasher – Okay, maybe not recommended, but it’s been done before. 🦟💥

Anyone else use their leveling blocks for questionable purposes? Let’s hear your best alternative uses. 😆

    The Time I Tried Leveling Without a Level… 😅

So I thought I could eyeball it.

    Big oof. 😂

Pulled into a campsite late, figured, “Eh, I’ll just toss down the blocks and call it good.” Spoiler alert: I spent the night feeling like I was clinging to the side of a mountain 🧗‍♂️—even my coffee slid to one side of the mug the next morning.

Lesson learned: Leveling blocks are only half the battle—you need a good level too. I finally caved and picked up a decent RV level, and wow, the difference it makes. No more guessing games or sleeping like I’m in a funhouse.

    📏 Here’s what helped:

    • A small bubble level I stuck on the floor near the fridge.
    • A smartphone leveling app (cool in a pinch, but not super accurate).
    • Eventually upgraded to a proper RV level—so much easier.

Moral of the story? Use the blocks, but don’t forget to check if you’re actually level unless you like your eggs and your body sliding sideways. 🍳😂
